Mars Petcare to Open Massive Global Innovation Center in Williamson County

Mars Petcare, a Franklin based company opened its first innovation center in the United States, with the official opening of the center in Thompson Station, the cost of the building is $110 million.  Mars broke ground in May of 2012, the 135, 256 square foot builiding will carry a full staff of 700 people, who will supervise 180 dogs and 120 cats. The animals, many of whom will of been taken from area shelters, will also have an outdoor space that is designated for play and relaxation.  In a news release, Larry Allgaier, the president of Mars Petcare North America  had this to say, ” Everything about this campus is dedicated to helping pets live longer and happier lives.”
