Mars Petcare is hosting its 11th Annual Adoption Pet weekend. This weekend, all fees are waived when you adopt a pet. There’s no better time to adopt than now.
They have partnered with Nashville Humane Association, Metro Nashville Animal Care and Control and Williamson County Animal Center.
Hours for pet adoption at WCAC, 106 Claude Yates, Franklin, are Saturday, 10 a – 5 p, and Sunday, noon- 4 p. You can even take a look online of the adoptable pets at WCAC here.
To help you get off on the right “paw,” the Better Cities For Pets team will be onsite at all locations providing free resources on pet ownership and how to be a good pet neighbor. Plus, when you adopt, they will send adopting families home with goodies for your new furry friend.
About Mars Petcare
Mars Petcare created the BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™ program to inspire business leaders and municipalities to enact pet-friendly policies by providing easily accessible resources featuring best practices, as well as industry research on the benefits pets, have on humans. The BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™ certification program honors municipalities already advocating for fewer pets in shelters, more pet-friendly places and increased housing options for people with pets.
Mars Petcare’s hometown of Franklin is home to almost 100 pet-friendly shops and restaurants in the downtown area alone. The BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™ program comes to life throughout the community with window clings identifying pet-friendly businesses and restaurants, and easily accessible pet water bowls and pet waste stations, all intended to make it easier for visitors and residents to be there with their pets.
