On Wednesday afternoon, staff members and patients at Monroe Carell Jr Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and representatives from Mars Petcare gathered to share some puppy love news.
The two organizations announced a new collaboration at the hospital’s upcoming annual dog show, Dog Days of Summer. The Mars Petcare Pet Therapy Fund will be established through the collaboration to support a dedicated facility dog, staff position for coordination of the program and data collection at Children’s Hospital to help improve the lives of patients and their families.
Through the BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™ initiative, Mars Petcare is dedicated to bringing the healing power of pets to more children and families. Together with Mars Petcare, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt will work to harness the power of pets to improve the health of patients.
