On Thursday, May 30th, Mapco and Fox 17 news joined forces to help Oklahoma tornado victims. From5 a.m. to the end of the 10 o’clock nightly news Fox 17 promoted their events on live tv. Middle Tennessee Mapco Mart’s had jars to accept donations as well as would match the day’s total. Donations were given to the American Red Cross. Fox 17’s parent company Sinclair has 100 stations across the US who also participated in the donation events. Each station partnered with a local partner for the event.
Williamson Source was able to meet John Dunn from Fox 17 between live air shots. We were even able to catch a picture of him with Jonathan Smith who came in on a commercial break to donate to the cause.
