Local Taproom Hosts Fundraiser for Franklin Resident’s Cancer Fund

Local Taproom Hosts Fundraiser for Franklin Man With Cancer

Mantra Artisan Ales (216 Noah Drive, Franklin) will host a fundraiser this Saturday, March 26th, at 3pm to raise funds for Jeff Gish and his family. Jeff, a self-proclaimed beer nerd and longtime Franklin resident, is on daily dialysis fighting for his life. The funds raised will help support Jeff’s current medical bills and his family’s future needs.

In addition to a silent auction, Mantra Artisan Ales has coordinated with the folks Goo Goo Cluster to debut a new beer on Saturday, the Goo Goo Gish. The beer is a milk stout brewed with caramel, peanuts, vanilla and chocolate, and the brew honors Jeff’s love of Goo Goo Clusters and his wish to see the beer made.

For each pint of the Goo Goo Gish sold—as well as each pint of the rest of the beers on tap Saturday sold—one dollar will be donated toward the Jeff Gish’s Cancer Sucks Fund on GoFundMe.com, which has already raised nearly $3,500 in the past 24 hours.
