Maniac’s, the Brentwood restaurant known for its chicken tenders, originally announced it would close at the end of July. But a fryer malfunction last week forced an unexpected temporary closure, pushing back the restaurant’s final farewell. Maniac’s has now extended its closing date to Wednesday, August 5. In a social media post, the restaurant thanked customers for their patience: “Thank you’s should go to our staff for graciously allowing us to stay open a few extra days! Thank YOU for your patience while we dealt with our broken fryer! Best. Customers. Ever.”
Located at 99 Seaboard Lane, Maniac’s has been a mainstay for more than 20 years.
“After more than twenty-one years, we have decided to close. Not for any bad reason. We have been blessed to have an amazing landlord, the best staff we could ask for, and, most importantly, kind and loyal customers,” reads a note on the door.
It continued, “We thank you for your support, for sharing your family gatherings and milestones, for including us in your lives. You guys have made this such a joy! But it is time for us to exit gracefully, to spend more time with family and friends and to have new adventures, whatever they may be. We thank you and wish all of you the very best.”
