The inaugural Lynchburg Music Fest announces the addition of award-winning bluegrass artist, Sam Bush, to the lineup. The multi-instrumental virtuoso — best known for his work on the mandolin and fiddle — is credited with inspiring some of today’s biggest artists from Taylor Swift to the Avett Brothers.
Lynchburg Music Fest, held in historic downtown Lynchburg, Tennessee on August 23 and 24, also adds country music star Craig Campbell to their growing list of talent, including Easton Corbin set to headline night one and Jamey Johnson set to headline night two.
Bush — considered to be a pioneer in the evolution of bluegrass — boasts seven solo albums and a slew of Grammy Awards, making him one of the most legendary artists of the genre. The three-time national champion fiddler brings six decades of performance experience alongside the likes of Emmylou Harris and Lyle Lovett, to the Lynchburg Music Fest stage.
Campbell, a Georgia native based in Nashville, released his first single “Family Man” in 2009 and has been garnering fans nationwide ever since. In 2017, he went on his first major tour with Luke Bryan and co-wrote the song “All American Kid” for Garth Brooks.
The organizers have also announced that single-day tickets are now available for purchase online at Lynchburg Music Fest’s official website, or on-site at the festival. Passes purchased online start at $70 for Friday and $90 for Saturday, with gate prices increasing to $80 and $100. In addition to single-day passes, festival-goers can purchase general admission weekend passes and VIP packages that include whiskey tastings on-site — only fitting for the whiskey capital of the world.
Other confirmed artists include Cassadee Pope, David Lee Murphy, Joe Diffie, Keith Anderson, Montgomery Gentry, and Rae Lynn. Lynchburg Music Fest will be the very first music festival of this caliber in the history of Lynchburg, bringing multiple stages of country and bluegrass music to South-Central Tennessee. Owned by Lynchburg native Jonny Hill, Igniter Productions brings this one-of-a-kind experiential event to the area, allowing fans of all ages to participate and engage with the community through music.
