Loyal Fans Brave the Weather to See 7 Bridges

by Jodi Rall

As the heavens opened up Sunday night, a loyal group filled the entire area under the Eddy Arnold Amphitheatre at Crockett Park to enjoy the first night of the Brentwood Summer Concert Series. Once the band began to play, more people left the comfort of their cars to stand under umbrellas, tents and any dry cover to enjoy the sound of 7 Bridges.

Jill Burgin, Vice Mayor opened the evening with remarks and thanked everyone for attending in the less than perfect conditions. After a few short “rules” about the concerts, Burgin welcomed band members to the stage. Although not the thousands who normally attend these coveted concerts, the audience cheered whole heartedly.

Opening with “Heartache Tonight,” fans were quick to have hands in the air clapping along and embracing the memorable music of the Eagles.

Next week, Sunday, June 7th brings the Nashville Symphony Orchestra to the stage to perform. All concerts begin at 7 p.m.

Here’s hoping dryer conditions prevail for the second concert. See Also: 5 Outdoor Summer Concert Series in Williamson County
