On Saturday, Dec 26th, Bert Hardesty, the long time General Manager for the Loveless Cafe passed away.
“Bert Hardesty… lost a hard-fought and courageous battle with cancer. Bert was a wonderful leader of the Cafe Team and simply could not have cared for or loved The Loveless Cafe more than he did. Bert had been visiting The Loveless Cafe since he was a small child and when he was hired as GM, he told us that his mother had given him specific instructions not to mess it up. In his tenure with us he did his mother proud. We are and will always be better for having known Bert and having had him as a member of our team. He was the epitome of hospitality and took enormous pride in being a part of our history. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bert’s family,” reads a post on the Loveless Cafe Facebook Page.
