Senior QB Looks To Lead Spring Hill Back To Playoffs

Third year Spring Hill Head Coach Tom Turchetta led his Raiders to a 6-6 record and a second round playoff berth last year. This year’s hopes are pinned on the shoulders of Senior QB Tylin Oden. The 6’4″, 190 lb. QB was a commit to Bobby Petrino’s Louisville program, however, he de-committed in July. Oden finished the season completing 56 passes for 105 yards and four touchdowns. On the ground, Oden picked up an additional 659 yards and seven touchdowns on 87 carries. Oden was selected as both all-district and all-state in 2014.

A solidified line of 5 experienced Juniors will be watching Oden’s back this season for Spring Hill. And according to PrepWeekly.com‘s Greg Maupin, he has plenty of targets:

Senior Daniel Johnson (6’0”, 190) will get the start at wider receiver. Johnson had 20 receptions for 380 yards and four touchdowns last season. Joining Johnson at wide receiver will be sophomores Justin Oden (6’4”, 170) and Donte Smith (5’10”, 170. Senior Dre Smith (6’0”, 200) was the team’s second leading receiver and will provide a different target at tight end. Smith may split time at tight end with junior Kennedy Ross (6’0”, 215)…prepweekly.com
