Looney Urges Parents to Talk Students About Teen Driving Habits

It’s been a rough 12 months for the Williamson County Schools system when it comes to losing students.

Since 2015, Williamson has lost six students – current and former – due to car accidents.

Just this week, both the Ravenwood and Summit communities have dealt with the loss of senior Riath Al-Shawi and former student Morgan Fell. During Thanksgiving week, Centennial lost Jim Cheek.

During the 2015 holiday season, Centennial also two current and one former student in an accident into Carters Creek.

In light of the tragedies, Superintendent Mike Looney has issued a message to parents and students about driving safety.
