Longview Elementary School

Longview Elementary has a new principal. Dr. Gabrina Charles, former Crockett Elementary Assistant Principal, will take on this position.

Dr. Gabrina Charles“Dr. Charles is a student-centered educator who will bring a high level of energy and excitement for learning to Longview,” said Dr. Mike Looney, WCS Superintendent.  “She has a tremendous work ethic, and I believe she is a perfect fit for that school community.”

Charles is beginning her seventh year with Williamson County Schools.  Prior to that time, she was the assistant principal at Harpeth Valley Elementary School in the Metropolitan Nashville Public School District for four years.  She taught physical education at Harpeth Valley for nine years, and she has taught physical education and third grade as well.

“The past six years at Crockett will always have a special place in my heart,” said Charles.  “But I am thrilled to be joining the Longview school community. I will become official later this month, and my first goal is to get to know the faculty, staff, students and parents as soon as possible.”

Charles earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Recreation from Trevecca Nazarene University; her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and administrative licensure requirements from Trevecca Nazarene University; and her Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Northcentral University.  She will begin her new role on June 23.
