Local Students Jump Rope for Heart Health

February is American Heart Month. To bring attention to heart health, nearly 400 schools in the Middle Tennessee area will teach heart health and emphasize the importance of physical activity, including 19 Williamson County schools.

Students will raise awareness for heart health through American Heart Association Jump Rope for Heart events and raising funds for the association’s research.

It is projected that students in Middle Tennessee will raise one million dollars for the American Heart Association this year. Since this youth programs began in 1978, students have raised about $800 million nationally!
