Local Salon & Spa Completes Franchising Preparations

Cool Springs-based A Moment’s Peace, a popular local salon & spa for over 15 years, announced that it has completed preparations to expand the brand nationwide via franchising in what is considered a “first of its kind” opportunity.

“As we surveyed the franchise marketplace, which is filled with so-called ‘category killers’ in hair, massage, skin care, waxing, tanning, and other personal care services it became obvious that there just isn’t a ‘go-to’ brand that combines all of the above,” commented A Moment’s Peace President, Kip Dodson.

About A Moment’s Peace
A Moment’s Peace was founded at its current Cool Springs location in 2002 as the first full-service salon and day spa in the area. Kip and Koren Dodson purchased A Moment’s Peace in 2004 from the original owners and set out to define and develop the brand for future expansion.

Kip, a Vanderbilt MBA graduate, and Koren, a well-known local interior designer and real estate developer, put a management team in place that has concentrated on developing effective, repeatable systems.

Soon after purchasing the business in 2004, a major expansion and remodel was conducted. That was followed by several periodic renovations, most recently in July of 2018. “We’ve been preparing for this day for over a decade, and it’s exciting to be taking the next big step,” added Dodson.
