Local Preschool Helps Make Toddler’s Wish Come True

Make-A-Wish Event at The Gardner School of Franklin

Through a special Toy Story themed party, the Gardner School of Franklin, students, families, school directors, and members of The Gardner School’s corporate leadership team gathered August 2nd to celebrate a wish-granting by Make-A-Wish® Middle Tennessee.

Students celebrated 2-year-old Axl and his family by dressing in a variety of Toy Story themed attire to show their support, as he will soon experience the magic of a trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Some of Axl’s favorite characters were present to celebrate him and his wish being granted.

Axl suffers from malignant neoplasm of brain. With humble gratitude for this wish-granting opportunity, Axl’s mother says, “Cancer has really tried to take us down, break us, hurt our family, and scare us. This wish will bring us together and remind us we can do anything. A trip like this will help us find hope again in one of the most magical and memorable places together as a family.”

Throughout 2019 alone, The Gardner School has donated $24,000 to Make-A-Wish® chapters across the country, supporting chapters in each of the markets in which they have school locations. “Seeing dreams come to life for children and their families is something we strive to do each day at The Gardner School. That’s among the many reasons we partner with Make-A-Wish®,” explains The Gardner School’s Chief Operating Officer, Tammy Robinson.
