Battle of the Badges

WHAT: The annual Williamson County Battle of the Badges Blood Drive takes place this week. The community donated 274 pints during the 2018 blood drive which helped 822 patients. This year’s goal is to collect more than 293 pints of blood and platelet donations to help those like Lennon Kimsey, who is the honoree of this year’s Brentwood blood drive.

2. Storytime With Mrs. Jill

WHAT: If you’re looking for something fun to do with your pre-schooler this week, head to the Nolensville Library. Mrs. Jill will return with preschool storytime at the Nolensville Library this Wednesday.

3. Bryan Shaffer in Concert

Bryan Shaffer in Concert

WHAT: Bryan Shaffer is a singer/songwriter from Detroit.

Previously he mainly was writing country songs. In his new album, Winter Blues, he shifted gears to bring in more genres including blues, Motown, classic rock, pop, & hip hop. Instead of stereotypical country songs, these are honest, candid songs about love, fighting personal battles, and life with all the ups, downs, trials, & tribulations.

Mr. Shaffer’s concert is brought to you by Williamson County Public Library and Southern Trace Songwriters. This concert is free and open to the public.

5. Movie in the Park – “Field of Dreams”

WHAT: New this summer….”Throwback 30 Years” Film! This addition to the summer movie in the park series is held at the Eastern Flank Event Facility (1368 Eastern Flank Circle). This week, “Field of Dreams” will be shown. Concessions items will be available for purchase at this event!
