Williamson County Schools is now home to three of the world’s best DECA competitors after a trio of Brentwood High students finished in the top 10 in the world in their respective fields at the International Conference.

The students competed from April 26-29 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California.

Senior Will Wallis finished top 10 in the world for Financial Consulting Presentation and fellow senior Sean Forbes was named top 10 in the world for Role Play in Communications for Human Resources Management.

Junior Connor Cooke finished top 10 in the world for Business Services Marketing.

“All of the students at Brentwood High who attended this competition represented our school, district and state very professionally,” said BHS DECA Advisor Lisa Nease-Montgomery. “I am so proud of each of them.”

DECA is a student organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools. More than 18,000 high school students, advisers, business persons and alumni are expected to attend this year’s conference.
