WS: Tell us about your new single “Nowhere With You”?

SB: It is crazy to think that I actually wrote that a year ago and now it is finally being released. I wrote it with Ashley Hewitt and Dean Sams and whenever we sat down to write the song we really wanted to do something that was kind of like the song “Cruise” from Florida-Georgia Line. I know that sounds weird because it is not the exact same song by any means. It was just something that has pretty simple chords and is something that is really easy to sing along to. By the end of the song everyone in the crowd is able to sing along as well. That was the idea and how “Nowhere With You” was born.

WS: Can you discuss your current tour and you future trip to Europe?

SB: I am incredibly excited! It has been a really busy summer. And it is looking like it is going to continue to be a really busy remainder of 2014. This weekend, we are out performing in Indianapolis and Cincinnati, then we come back next week and we have a show with Kelli Pickler out in New Jersey, then shows in Texas and kind of all over the place and then we will be wrapping up the year with a UK tour which will be a blast. We’ve got five shows that we are doing all over England and Scotland.

WS: What do you like about living in Williamson County?

SB: I really love it. Whenever I was coming out to Nashville quite a bit, I would spend time in Franklin and it is wonderful and I loved the area very much. I actually live in Brentwood so I could be closer to Nashville and it is really a great area. It is very homey and reminds me a lot of the place I am from and grew up and is really nice, because being a Tennessee transplant and coming from Texas; it is really nice to feel that you are still at home. And the area is full of fantastic local places I love to visit.

WS: Your family has been supportive of your musical aspirations; how have they influenced you and your dreams?

SB: My younger brother was drafted to play professional baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals as a sophomore in college. Him going out there and chasing his dream is what really inspired me to chase my dreams. My dad coached basketball and is very motivated on the basketball court which has now transitioned him into a motivational speaker and a life coach, and whenever you have people like that in your life constantly encouraging people and encouraging me, it is hard not to take on your dreams.
