Local BBQ Joint Will Take Part in Music City Food & Wine Festival

Music City Food + Wine Festival is pleased to announce the return of Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint & Friends with an all-star line-up of some of the most decorated chefs and pitmasters across the country. Celebrated pitmaster Pat Martin will be joined by a host of award-winning chef friends to cook and serve interactive, live-fire barbecue throughout the night of Friday, September 15 and during the day on Saturday, September 16 at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park (600 James Robertson Pkwy).

In addition to Martin’s activation, chef cooking demos, book signings, Tasting Sessions and more, the Grand Taste Pavilion will also feature an expanded selection of craft beers from Tennessee and around the country.

“There’s nothing better than cooking with friends, especially over a live fire,” says Martin. “We’ve had so much fun the last couple of years. Chefs pop in and out throughout the weekend to cook with us, and it’s great watching folks experience the different methods we use over live fire and seeing how much they enjoy the show of it all and most importantly, the great food. Hopefully, we inspire them to try new ways of outdoor cooking and grilling in their own backyards.”

Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint & Friends area will allow festivalgoers to see, experience, and taste wood-fired ingredients that have been slow roasted, grilled and barbecued on-site over live fire using a variety of cooking methods. Throughout the weekend, Martin and friends will serve whole-cooked meat and fish, lamb, hog, goat, beef, coal-roasted summer vegetables and other ingredients cooked low and slow.

Dishes will be announced via social media and on-site chalkboards, and festival attendees can follow along @musiccityfw using #MCFW. The chefs and pitmasters will dish out tasting-size portions on a first-come, first-served basis. The interactive, live-fire stations are scheduled to feature a rotating cast of chefs, including:
