Swanky Plank is Rippavilla’s biggest fundraiser. Sixty vendor booths will be spread over the front lawn of Rippavilla offering antiques, vintage, handmade and repurposed wares. This is the 3rd year the event has been held at Rippavilla located at 5700 Main St, Spring Hill, TN 37174.
Antiques and vintage items aren’t the only thing happening at the Swanky Plank Vintage Marketplace being held at Rippavilla in Spring Hill on July 9-11, 2015. There is a great selection of live music scheduled for this event including the Music City Strings, Damien Boggs, Spring Hill Orchestra, Dixie Crossing, and the Spring Hill Community Choir.
Music City Strings founder Dana Meyer says, “We always love performing at Rippavilla and last year’s audience was very supportive and enjoyed the kid’s performance enthusiastically!” When asked what the crowd should expect this year,Meyer said, “A high energy, polished performance. A lot of the music we will be performing is the music we are taking on our European Tour in July. We play a lot of different genre’s, classical, fiddle and a little jazz.”
Americana Rock and Roller and Columbia resident Damien Boggs says “He looks forward to playing at the Swanky Plank Marketplace, It’s always a cool event. I’ve attended Swanky Plank twice, and really enjoy all the vendors. I’ve not had a chance to play at Swanky Plank, but have played other events held at Rippavilla.”
Damien Boggs goes on to say,”The best part of the event for me (aside from playing music) is without a doubt the vendors. Any type of vintage or antique item you can imagine is represented in at least one place during this event. The atmosphere is very relaxed and allows for a leisurely stroll through the grounds while “treasure hunting” for whatever strikes one’s fancy. My wife and I are vintage/antique addicts, so this event is always a must on our social calendar. All that coupled with having the opportunity to play my original music in that setting makes for a near perfect summer day.”
