Art Show and Live Auction Raises Funds for Congenital Heart Disease Research

Project Heart Hosts Art Show and Live Auction

Project Heart invites everyone to “Little Hearts, Big Art,” an art show and live auction on Friday, July 29th at The Rymer Gallery in Nashville to raise funds for their 501 (c)(3)nonprofit organization that funds research for congenital heart disease and supports families of children with heart defects.

The event takes place Friday evening from 6:30p-9:30p and features catering by Puckett’s Restaurant & Grocery,  live music, a silent auction and local art.Art work will be sold during a live auction at the end of the night.

All proceeds benefit Project Heart, which was founded by Tyler and Erica Thayer in honor of their son, Calvin, who was born with Tricuspid Atresia and Transposition of the Greater Vessels. After experiencing the effects of congenital heart disease first hand and witnessing other families in the hospital going through similar situations with their children, they wanted to do something to further heart research and help families during their time in the hospital. Project Heart was formed to fund research for congenital heart disease and create much needed awareness for a mostly hidden disease.

This year Project Heart has partnered with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, and their award winning research doctors will be the primary beneficiary of their CHD Research Grant for 2016.

Featured Artists include: Rob Hendon, Sherri Parrish, Darryl Glenn Steele, Tiffany Foss, Janet King, Byron Jorjorian, Philippe Guillerm, Aly Oswald, Carol Berning, Susan Truex, and Kay Norman.
