Music City Hit-Makers, returns to Cheekwood’s Swan lawn for two special fall dates on Friday, October 12 and Saturday, October 13.
The October concerts will feature a selection of some of most successful songwriters in Nashville including Brett James, Tom Douglas, and Billy Montana. The songwriters will perform their chart-topping hits for artists like Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley and Garth Brooks accompanied by the sounds of the Music City Symphony.
“This event is so special because it brings harmony to Nashville’s greatest assets; the songwriters, the greatest symphony and studio musicians in the world and pastoral Cheekwood Botanical Gardens,” says Charles Dixon, event creator and producer. “We are thrilled to have so many amazing songwriters joining us for our biggest year yet.”
Dubbed “the most famous people you’ve never heard of,” the Music City Hit-Makers set will feature #1 hits “Jesus Take The Wheel” (Carrie Underwood), “I Hold On” (Dierks Bentley) written and performed by Brett James, “Bring On The Rain” (Jo Dee Messina), “More Than A Memory” (Garth Brooks), written and performed by Billy Montana, and “The House That Built Me” (Miranda Lambert), “Southern Voice” (Tim McGraw) and many more, all re-imagined for symphony by the 5 time Music Row Musician of the Year, music director and arranger, Charles Judge.
