The Franklin library is featuring a traveling exhibit this month called “Lincoln: the Constitution and the Civil War.” This display is sponsored by the American Library Association and has numerous online activities including a game in which you can match wits with Abe and explore his politics and leadership.  The opening reception is Sunday, August 12th and Dennis Boggs will be present as Abe Lincoln.

This Friday, August 10th is the first ever APPY Hour at the library. With millions of apps available for you devices there is never enough time to find all the ones you need. Bring your devices to the library between 2 and 32 P.M. and share your knowledge or pick up some. Apple and Android users are welcome as well as tablets, etc.

The meeting is in the Activity Room on the first floor. Call (615) 595-1243 for information.
Friday is also Movie Night, 6:30 P.M. See the true story of the trial of Mary Surratt, the woman accused in the plot to assassinate President Lincoln. Saturday from 10:30-12:30 in the morning is the Writer’s Critique Group. Join other local adult writers for a courteous but serious critique of member’s work.
