Lifeguard Certification Classes Now Open

Williamson County Parks and Recreation is offering two training courses for lifeguard certifications on the following dates: March 14-20; or April 18-May 2 ($125). Also, a lifeguard/CPR pass/fail test for previously certified individuals will be offered on May 4 ($45). All courses are open to the public, and students must be 15 years of age on or before the final day of the course.

WCPR has part-time lifeguard positions available year-round for indoor and outdoor pools in Franklin, Brentwood, Fairview, Nolensville and Spring Hill. Schedules are flexible, and wages are competitive. The positions require Red Cross lifeguard and CPR/AED certification.

The “Spring Break” training class ($125) will be Saturday, March 14 and March 16-20 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Indoor Sports Complex (ISC), 920 Heritage Way in Brentwood, and the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr. In-person registration is Saturday, February 28 at noon at both locations.

The “Last Chance” training class ($125) will be April 18-May 2 on Monday and Wednesday evenings and all day on Saturdays at two locations: the Indoor Sports Complex (ISC), 920 Heritage Way in Brentwood; and the Longview Recreation Center at Spring Hill, 2909 Commonwealth Dr. In-person registration is Saturday, March 28 at noon at both locations.

The “Lifeguard/CPR Review,” a pass/fail class, will be offered on Monday, May 4 at 5:00 p.m. at the ISC. No review or instruction is provided for this class ($25). Students must be familiar with the latest Red Cross material before the class. Registration for this class begins Saturday, April 18 at noon at the ISC.
