Art Class With Kim Napier: Faux Batik
Saturday, Nov 22nd
10a-11a

Kim will show you a simple variation on the 2,000 year old craft of batik. Instead of hot wax on fabric for unique designs after it is dipped in dye, she will mimic the process with a flour and water paste and she’ll use paint instead of dye. It is simple enough for preschoolers and invigorating enough for any adults. Talent is not required … only a little adventure. The class will not be hands-on as drying time is needed, but Kim will show the process at different stages and bring samples for inspiration. Be sure to see her art show, displayed all of November in the library.

Oliver Twist Performed by the Hampstead Stage Company
Saturday, Nov 22nd
3:30p-4:30p

Live Theater at its best – this touring company comes from New Hampshire. Come see a Dickens’ classic about a young orphan, Oliver, who overcomes great hardships in Victorian London. It is a coming-of-age tale about survival and friendship. Oliver Twist has humor and pathos that guarantee to both educate and entertain.
