Phillip McAndrew is now the Library Branch Manager in Fairview. He has been the Young Adult Librarian for the past eight years and has lived in middle Tennessee for the past 17 years.

Winners of the first Janice Keck Literary awards have been selected by local published authors:

Children’s Literature: Jean Simmons for Willy the Panther Cat
Fiction: John Neely Davis for Bear Shadow
Nonfiction: Brad W. Hoover for Tears of Hope (Hero in a Bandanna)
Poetry: Sandy Cooker for The presence of Absence

Middle TN Nature Parks & Radnor Lake
Tuesday, July 15 at 6:30 p.m.
A park guide will speak about Savage Gulf on the Cumberland Plateau, Radnor Lake State Park and Bowie Nature park in Fairview.

WCPL Night at Vanderbilt Dyer Observatory
Tuesday, July 29 at 7:30 p.m.
If the sky is clear, participants may be able to view Saturn, Mars and more at this free event. Participants must have a Williamson County Public Library card. Registration is required.

 

Fizz, Boom, Read
Kids can fill out bingo cards to earn summer reading prizes until Sunday, August 17
