Leiper’s Fork to Host Annual Fork Fest this Weekend

On Saturday, August 31, the Lawn Chair Theatre in Leiper’s Fork will host the Seventh Annual Fork Fest.

This free event includes musical guests Keb’ Mo’ and KYSHONNA. Music starts at 7 p and don’t forget to bring your lawn chair. No coolers, alcohol or pets allowed at the event. Head to the fork early to grab your spot and grab some food from one of the local eateries in the village.

KYSHONNA has performed several times in and around Franklin. She made the move to Nashville from South Carolina. She’s a music therapist who has worked in correctional facilities in Tennessee and Georgia and with mentally ill and elderly patients. In addition, she’s a songwriter, her work makes her a compassionate and uplifting performer, a voice you won’t soon forget.

Keb’ Mo’ is an award-winning singer, songwriter, guitarist, and contemporary blues artist. He has cultivated a reputation as a modern master of American roots music through the understated excellence of his live and studio performances. The TajMo project, which won the 2018 GRAMMY for “Best Contemporary Blues Album,” features guest appearances by Sheila E., Joe Walsh, Lizz Wright, and Bonnie Raitt. B.B. King, Buddy Guy, the Dixie Chicks, Joe Cocker, Robert Palmer and Tom Jones have all recorded his songs. His guitar playing has inspired leading instrument makers Gibson Brands to issue the Keb’ Mo’ Signature Bluesmaster acoustic guitar and Martin Guitars to issue the HD-28KM Keb’ Mo’ Limited Edition Signature model.
