Leadership Franklin & Brentwood are Accepting Applications

Leadership Brentwood Class of 2014 is looking for a few good citizens and will accept applications until June 3rd. The program educates Brentwood area residents and others about the city and its leadership. The program is in its 23rd year and accepts 15 applicants in each class.

The eight month program is a commitment which includes an overnight retreat in August and six program days held on the second Thursday of each month from September through February, and a March wrap-up session and graduation. Each day is devoted to a topic such as business, education, entertainment, media, history, etc. Applications and additional information can be found at the 1W1C offices or online at www.leadershipbrentwood.org. Leadership Franklin is a similar course for the city of Franklin and their 2013-2014 class is accepting applications through Monday, June 3rd. In its 17th year, Leadership Franklin is a non-profit community leadership organization dedicated to educating, informing and empowering leaders to improve the quality of life in Franklin and Williamson County. Each year’s class is divided into four groups who develop a class project to be presented on graduation day.  Franklin Tomorrow was established as a result of a project developed by participants in Leadership Franklin.

Approximately 20 participants are selected based on their commitment to Williamson County and previous participation in community, civic, or professional organizations, and demonstrated leadership in current or previous positions.
