Hosted by Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Matthew West, winners were announced at last night’s 2016 K-LOVE Fan Awards live from the Grand Ole Opry stage.West won his first K-LOVE Award last night for Best Lyric. His co-host Hasselbeck is the only host to return for two consecutive years at the K-LOVE Awards. You might could say that Nashville wins after Hasselbeck announced last night she and her family are moving to Nashville. We spoke to Hasselbeck back stage briefly. See our interview below.
Diagle,a relatively newcomer to Christian music also won big last night taking home Artist of the Year and Female Artist of the Year Awards. As Diagle received her award for Artist of Year,there was a moment where Diagle thought she was receiving Song of the Year Award,an award just received by Chris Tomlin for “Good Good Father” after a moment into her acceptance speech she realized she just won for Artist of the Year.

NEEDTOBREATHE opened the show with a surprise performance for the packed Opry house of fans, adding to the talent-studded line-up of TobyMac, Switchfoot, Crowder, Newsboys, Big Daddy Weave and more. Presenters included top names in music, and a surprise taped appearance by Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott. University of Miami Head Football Coach Mark Richt, Retired Chicago White Sox First Baseman Adam LaRoche, Kansas City Royals’ Dayton Moore and War Room’s Alex Kendrick were among other presenters.
