Nashville is gearing up for CMA Fest and all across the city there is lots of music news and happenings.
Keith Urban held a media only event where he previewed his Ripcord tour. Urban will be at Bridgestone November 11th. Audience members can expect to hear songs from his latest album– Ripcord–but not to worry, he will be also be playing some of his older music as well.
Dan+Shay held their album release party on Music Row with a rooftop concert. The duo recently debuted their latest single on ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ “From the Ground Up” will be available on new album Obsessed available on June 3.
Dierks Bentley continues the narrative of his new album BLACK with the release of the second single “Different For Girls” featuring Elle King. “There is a real honesty in these lyrics, and I haven’t heard a song written this way before. The differences in how guys and girls deal with a broken heart is really interesting material to me,” shared Bentley. “Having two daughters certainly has changed the way I see the world and what they have ahead. What I love about Elle being on this record, besides her uniquely powerful but vulnerable voice, is that she’s a total badass. Having her perspective really helps tell the complete story.” Bentley will also open a pop-up store on the corner of 4th and Broadway featuring his new album and exclusive merchandise.
Scotty McCreery is off the market. McCreery opened up this week about his girlfriend who he has known since kindergarten. McCreery told ET “When we first started dating, I was 17 years old — 18 years old, just kinda been thrust into the limelight, and I said, ‘Look, we can call the magazines and have a photo shoot, or we can just kinda keep it on the down low. We decided to keep it low-key, but we’ve been together four and a half years now, so I figure it’s time to talk a little bit more about her.”
YEP-Young Entertainment Professionals held the YEP Rewind 90s event benefiting Songs Against Humanity on Tuesday night at Basement East. Performing throughout the evening was Maggie Rose, Maren Morris, Cassadee Pope, Derek Wells, FANCY, Dave Barnes and more.
Blake Shelton’s exhibit opens at the Country Music Hall of Fame this weekend. Blake Shelton:Based on a True Story will feature the red judges chair from ‘The Voice.’ Some of the other artifacts that will be featured plaid shirt Shelton wore when he moved to Nashville,memo pad where he wrote his first song and his first royalty check in the amount of $2.73.
