If you remember…just a few short weeks ago, Musgraves had her boots stolen from her car while performing at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville. After the incident, Musgraves tweeted “next up: a song about stolen boots. Not sure if there’s anything more country?”
While in Texas this week, Musgraves teased an unreleased song called “Five Finger Discount.” Although many might be hoping this is her song about stolen boots, it’s actually about another time Musgraves had an issue with a thief. This song is the story of a girl who stole from Musgraves when she first moved to Nashville. Not only did this girl steal from her but then posted pictures of herself on Facebook wearing Musgraves clothes.
