Have you heard the news? Williamson Source will be covering the red carpet at the K-LOVE Fan Awards on Sunday, June 1st. It will be our first time to cover the event and we are so excited to be a part of the K-LOVE Awards this year. But, what is a girl to wear? Luckily, we have some great designers living right here in our area. So, I called up Johnathan Kayne, former Project Runway Contestant, Project Runway All-Stars, ” go -to red carpet designer of the south.”  Without hesitation, he said I could visit his showroom to find something fabulous to wear.
Although excited, I was nervous and wishing I could lose 10lbs before trying on his dresses.  I drove up to the showroom after hours and the closer I got to the door, the more I hesitated. I almost got in my car and drove home..Why? Because I hate to try on clothes. Yes, I am forever looking at fashion blogs, magazines, etc but it is a whole new level being the one trying on clothes for a designer.  I convinced myself to go in mostly because I am the kind of person who doesn’t back out of a commitment. Once I entered,  I was given the warmest greeting. Johnathan, and I feel like I can call him by his first name since he had to zip up all of my dresses and help with some adjustments,  made this process so easy. He had already picked out several dresses for me. We looked around the showroom discussing options, colors and fit.  He made me feel so comfortable even after I told him how much I hate to try on clothes.
In the end, we found a great dress that we both agreed was the one!  I can tell you this about his dresses–the fit is amazing, fabrics are forgiving, cuts make you feel like a million bucks. Can’t wait for you guys to see this dress on Sunday and I am so thankful to Johnathan for helping me find the perfect dress for the K-LOVE Awards!
