On Tuesday, April 24, 2018, the Natchez Trace District of the Middle Tennessee Council Boy Scouts of America will honor the service and dedication of Jimmy Gentry to our community at the 2018 Williamson County Good Scout Event. The event takes place at the Marriot Cool Springs at 7am Tuesday.

Gentry is a WWII veteran and longtime coach at Battle Ground Academy, Brentwood Academy, and Franklin High School. In WWII, he fought at the Battle of the Bulge and helped liberate the Dachau Concentration Camp in Germany. Along with being an educator, Gentry also hosted a camp at Gentry Farms where local youth could learn farming skills.

The Natchez Trace District serves 3,292 local Scout participants in Williamson County, teaching them citizenship, physical fitness and leadership development. Contributions will go directly to support the programs of the Natchez Trace District, Boy Scouts of America.
