Jack & Jameson’s Smokehouse in Franklin owned by Jonathan Jackson (who plays Avery on the show ‘Nashville’) Steve Burton, and Rick Shannon held a preview of their fall menu.
Just before they served samples of their crab cakes, brisket, and signature dessert – the Cinnewaffle, Shannon told us more about how he renovated the space, built the tables himself and wants to ensure that Jack & Jameson’s Smokehouse maintains a family-friendly environment. Watch our Facebook Live video of Shannon below.
Everything at Jack and Jameson’s Smokehouse is made from scratch daily including the condiments. Shannon, who grew up in Maryland, boasts that his crab cakes are true to the Maryland style with large lumps of crabs and spice but no breading. In keeping with the name smokehouse, restaurant goers can find smoked chicken wings, brisket, ribs, and pork. Sides dishes includes grilled asparagus, grilled veggie mix of peppers, onions, along with mushrooms, broccoli, pub fries, and sweet potato fries.
On tap, Jack and Jameson’s carries a variety of craft beers local to the region. “Any state that touches Tennessee we will consider their craft beer which actually gives us a lot of options,” Shannon said.
Two cider options are available- Pinot Grigio cider and a new fall addition, Blackberry cider. For those who wish to drink wine, you may bring in a bottle of wine and pay a $10 corking fee per table.
With an ample stage, entertainment plays a role at the restaurant. Jonathan Jackson not only plays a musician on T.V. but he also is in a band called Enation. Jackson will be performing with his badn Enation on Dec 17th at the restaurant and Gunnar and Matthew Nelson will be performing Dec 22 (the event is called Christmas with the Nelsons). Tickets to this event include dinner and entertainment and are $149. Purchase your tickets online. Tickets to the Jonathan Jackson show are not on sale yet.
