IveyCake, in Brentwood (in the Target shopping center on Old Hickory Blvd.) will celebrate its last day of business on Sunday, February 14.
IveyCake, the local gourmet cupcake and cake boutique, will expand to the Metro Nashville area later this year with a new location to be announced. Their original location in historic downtown Franklin will expand its hours to handle demand for the Brentwood/Franklin area, while the Brentwood location will close with the expiration of its current lease.
IveyCake’s founder, Ivey Childers states: “We’ve always known that we wanted to expand the business and with the expiration of our lease in Brentwood, we knew that now was the right time to pursue a location in Metro Nashville. As a longtime resident of the Brentwood area, we love and appreciate our Brentwood neighbors, and we’ll continue to serve them with our Franklin location. Join us for our last day in Brentwood with a Valentine’s Day celebration!”
Customers can celebrate Valentine’s Day at both the Brentwood and Franklin locations with IveyCake’s signature Valentine’s Day flavor – “Hopeless Romantic” – a chocolate cupcake with strawberry filling and strawberry buttercream icing topped with a chocolate-covered strawberry. Ivey Childers, founder of IveyCake, is a self-taught baker who began creating cupcakes and cakes after her graduation from college in her tiny apartment kitchen.
