iPhone 6 Users Complaining of Hair Tearing Out

With the advancement of new technology every six months and the public itching to post their opinions and frustrations all over social media, little irks and problems arise that might not otherwise gain ground and spread like wildfire all over the Internet.

Take the newest Apple iPhone 6 for example. First, people were complaining that the size of the 6 and 6 Plus is ridiculously too big. Hipsters in skinny jeans wouldn’t be able to fit their phones in their pockets. Samsung Galaxy users were pointing out they have had all these “new” features for the last four years and it’s nothing new or innovative.

Then we learned of “Bendgate,” in which users saw their iPhone 6’s mainframe begin to bend, due to users placing it in their back pockets or struggling to fit them just about anywhere.

These dilemmas can make iPhone 6 users want to pull their hair out. But now the question being raised is, can it literally pull your hair out?

CNBC recently published an article last week of certain users over Twitter, complaining that the hardware was constantly catching hair when holding the phone to their face. The problem may very well be the seam between the aluminum and glass screen, and seems to only attack men with facial hair.

Apple has yet to neither confirm nor deny that their phones also act as a $199 pair of tweezers. But as someone with heavy facial hair, I can personally say that testing the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus to my face went without incident as I tested this theory at the Apple Store at the Mall of Green Hills over the weekend.

Every hair molecule was accounted for after this impromptu experiment on my face. The sheer size of the phone was the only takeaway. My hands are already pretty big, and getting my thumb from one corner of the screen to the next took a lot of work. And no way would it be able to slip inside my jean pockets easily. I’m currently happy with my iPhone 5, and hopefully by the next year, this craze of large phone screens will have died down.

But for the time being, does this mean the fannypacks will be cool again?
