Independence running back Troy Henderson scored three touchdowns and ran for 153 yards, as the Eagles cruised by Memphis East, 42-10.
Eagle quarterback Nathan Cisco was 21-of-35 for 225 yards, two touchdowns and three interceptions. Kendrell Scurry caught seven balls for 80 yards and a score for Independence (5-4).
Coming off a five-touchdown game last week, Henderson scored on a 3-yard run early to give the Eagles the game’s first lead.
Micah Thieman (three catches, 42 yards) and C.J. Hills (nine for 58) also scored touchdowns. T.J. Sheffield also caught six passes for 49 yards for Independence.
Independence ends the regular season by hosting Ravenwood next week.
