Thompson Station, Tenn–It’s probably too early to even talk about a team being undefeated but after Independence’s 3-1 win las† night over Stewarts Creek, they are now 3 for 3 to start the season.
The Eagles got two first half goals thanks to a Julie Garst opening score and a handball in the penalty area that led to an Independence goal from the spot.
Stewarts creek would get one back before the first 40 minutes were through to make it 2-1 at the break.
Ashley Weathers put the game away for the Eagles when she hit the back of the net five minutes into the second half.
Independence will host Father Ryan on Thursday.
