Do you have a wrestler in your family or just want to support local students in wrestling clubs? Independence High School is hosting a wrestling tournament on Saturday, June 2nd, 2018 on the football field of the school to benefit the Tennessee Wrestling Hall of Fame and the Indy Eagles Wrestling Club. Whether you want to participate in the tournament or just take part in the event, there’s a lot to take part in. For those attending and participating there will be food trucks, kettle corn, a concession stand, and a firework show to cap off the evening.
The tournament will be formatted in double elimination 3-minute matches. The 5 match limit doesn’t apply to this event and brackets with 6 or fewer wrestlers will be round robin style. Medals will be given for the top 3 in each weight class/division. Weigh-ins will be on Sunday, May 28th from 2:30 to 3:30 pm.
Tournament Rules
- One 3 minute period (running clock
- Out of bounds or lack of activity will result in a Neutral start
- 10 point Tech Falls
- Sudden death overtime (neutral)
- Mandatory 15-minute rest between matches
- Wrestlers do NOT have to wear a singlet

Weigh-ins: 7-8 pm on Friday, June 1st or 2:30 to 3:30 pm on June 2nd
Wrestling Begins: 5:00 pm (6/02/2018)
Cost: $20 if signed up by May 27th, $25 after May 27th. (NO CARD NEEDED)
