Four cadets from the Independence High School Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) are among those who will compete at the national level of the 2018 Leadership Bowl.

Keegan Reimer, Grant Parker, Kieran Smith and Isaac Reimer hope to see their hard work pay off as they head to Washington D.C. in June to compete against students from across the nation.

The Independence High team is one of only 40 to make it to the national level. The competition began with more than 1,000 teams.

“These four cadets proudly represent our program and their school, and we are extremely proud of them for their hard work and achievement,” said Independence High JROTC instructor and Lt. Col Charles Fields. “They represent what all the JROTC programs in Williamson County are doing, which is motivating young people to become better citizens.”
