Called About a Cruise? You Might Be Owed Money

Have you received a robocall about a cruise?

If so, you won’t get a cruise, of course, but could earn money.

A class action lawsuit, Charvat v. Resort Marketing Group, claims Resort Marketing Group made illegal robocalls that offered a free cruise. The Telephone Consumer Act restricts telemarketers and robocalls.

If you received the call or calls between July 2009 and March 2014, you could get $300 per call, with up to three calls per number you have, as part of a proposed settlement.

Resort Marketing Group offered free cruises on Carnival, Royal Caribbean or Norwegian Cruise lines. In the calls they said they provided “Travel services.”
