Iconic Nashville Diner Expands to Williamson County

Elliston Place Soda Shop

The iconic Elliston Place Soda Shop of Nashville will expand to Franklin this year. The notable restaurant opened in Nashville over 75 years ago and has continued to serve customers from its original location on Elliston Place  (named after the Elliston family that at one point owned most of the property on the street.) The Nashville restaurant is on the national register of historic places and is mentioned in the book 1,000 Places to See Before You Die.

The Franklin location will open at 330 Mayfield Drive in Cool Springs, the spot recently vacated by Puffy Muffin.

We spoke to a representative from Elliston Place Soda shop who said, “We hope to be open in Cool Springs by late spring -early summer. More to come soon.”

Elliston Place Soda Shop serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can order breakfast favorites like steak & eggs, omelets and chicken-fried steak. For lunch and dinner, they feature meat and three items like fried chicken, pot roast, mac and cheese, potato salad and many other Southern favorites. And the best part – their Soda Fountain menu, with items like milkshakes, malts, flavored sodas, ice cream floats and more.

We can’t wait to see what the new location will be like in Franklin. Learn more about Elliston Place Soda Shop on Facebook here.
