Summit’s Tre Hunter ran for 137 yards and two touchdowns, helping the Spartans to a 27-7 win over Franklin County.

After a scoreless third quarter, Summit extended its lead to 20 after Destin Wade ran for a 3-yard touchdown and score on a 2-point conversion. Then, Hunter ran for a 3-yard touchdown with 6:01 to play.

Wade hit Brayden Stem with a 21-yard touchdown pass with 4:04 left before half. That and Carson Baker’s point-after accounting for the game’s first points.

Hunter added a 2-yard rushing touchdown almost three minutes later, but Baker missed the point-after.

Franklin County then scored on the last play of the half on Neyland Jean’s 35-yard scoring strike to Michael Fuqua, as the Rebels trailed 13-7 heading to the locker room.

Wade was 5 of 7 passing for 82 yards and ran three times for 43 more. George Odimegwu added nine carries for 82 more yards for Summit, which amassed 355 yards of offense to Franklin County’s 252.

Stem added a pair of tackles, both for loss, on defense.

Summit (4-3) hosts Shelbyville next week.
