The regular season is over for Division I high school basketball. District tournaments started on Tuesday. In Class AAA-District 11 (Brentwood, Centennial, Franklin, Independence, Ravenwood, Summit and Dickson County), the first round of the girls tournament tipped off Tuesday night; the boys first round is Wednesday night. After Wednesday all games (semifinals on Friday, finals and consolation on Saturday) will be at Brentwood High School.
Girls
-First place Dickson County got to rest on Tuesday. The Cougars finished the year 23-3 (11-1), their only district loss a 45-42 upset against visiting Brentwood on Jan 15. They play Franklin on Friday in the district semifinals at 4 p.m.at Brentwood High School.
-Speaking of the Lady Rebels 13-12 (6-6), they beat Brentwood 10-13 (5-7) at Brentwood on Tuesday night in the first round of the tournament, 44-28. The Bruins led 9-7 after the first quarter but by the half the Lady Rebels had pulled ahead 13-10, going on a 6-1 run to end the half. In the third Franklin pulled away, with Jodi Hill hitting a 3-pt shot to put the Lady Rebels up 25-14 with just less than 3 minutes to play in the third quarter. Abby Unger, the game’s leading scorer, put in 11 of her 14 in the second half while Holly Harris added 9.

-Ravenwood 19-8 (7-5) beat Centennial 18-7 (6-6) 47-42.
After the first quarter, the Raptors trailed by 5, down 15-10. Centennial, however, only scored two points in the second quarter as Ravenwood went on a 9-2 run to take a 19-17 lead into half. The Raptors pulled away form there, getting their biggest lead, 42-35, with a minute left in the game.
Kiera Downey had 16 points for the Raptors while Emmy Allen and Margaret Gleason each chipped in 8. For Centennial Chantell Flye, leading all scorers, put up 22. Ashland Hardin had 7.

On Friday the Raptors play the winner of Summit-Indy at Brentwood High School at 7 p.m.
Summit 13-12 (7-5) host Independence 5-20 (1-11) Wednesday at 6 p.m. right before
