Homestead Manor Will Host Inaugural Oktoberfest

Homestead Manor will start October off with brews and German food at its inaugural Oktoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 6 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Taking place in the Homestead Manor Barn, the 21 and over event is about celebrating traditions of Munich, Germany while sipping local and national beer favorites. Attendees can sample from a selection of 30 different breweries -Good People Brewing Company of Birmingham Ala.; Founders Brewing Company of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Urban Chestnut Brewing Company of St. Louis, Mo.; Hutton & Smith Brewing Company of Chattanooga, Tenn.; Wiseacre Brewing Company of Memphis, Tenn. and more. And also enjoy German-style food created by chefs at Homestead Manor and sister concepts Puckett’s Boat House, Puckett’s Gro. & Restaurant and Scout’s Pub. Lokelani Alabanza, executive pastry chef of A. Marshall brand Hattie Jane’s Creamery, will develop an exclusive beer-infused ice cream.

“We are fortunate to have a very talented group of chefs on the A. Marshall Hospitality team who jumped at an opportunity to get creative with the Oktoberfest theme,” Mink said. “We’re hoping to have some beautiful, crisp weather to complement the fantastic selection of craft brews and assortment of bites, and we’re looking forward to kicking off the fall season with a great event, ” said Sally Mink, Marketing Director for A. Marshall Hospitality in a release.

On the day of the event, all parking will be located at Thompson Station Church across from Homestead Manor. Shuttle services are available to guests. In addition, Homestead Manor has partnered with Lyft ridesharing service, offering a 10% discount to new and existing users for rides to and from Oktoberfest with the code HMOKTOBERFEST.

General admission, VIP and designated driver tickets can be bought in advance for $35, $45 and $20, respectively, at www.eventbrite.com. All tickets purchased at the door will have a $10 increase. In addition to beer and food, VIPs will receive early access into the festival, a t-shirt and an authentic German stein, and designated driver tickets will allow access to food only. 

A portion of proceeds from ticket sales will benefit The Land Trust for Tennessee to help support its efforts to protect farmland and landscapes across the state, including Homestead Manor which is located on a land trust. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/homesteadmanor.
