Homestead Manor Hosts CASA for Lunch & Learn Event

casa3-Wiliamson County CASA

Homestead Manor will host Williamson County CASA (WCCASA) at its next “Lunch & Learn Something” on February 17, and invites the public to hear its directors speak to the best practices for nonprofits to achieve sustainability, build awareness and manage partnerships.

The Lunch & Learn—a monthly series for building creative skills and strengthening career paths—will take place in the restaurant 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. WCCASA Executive Director Marianne Schroer and Director of Development & Public Relations Danielle McMorran will lead the discussion and share insight on how they increased funding by more than 1,000%.

The pair will also cover how the organization impacts children and community, how they harnessed a rapid growth model, lessons learned and how to apply it in attendees’ business practices.

The professional development luncheon, held monthly, connects the community with business professionals for an industry-specific discussion on topics ranging from dressing for the job you want to etiquette when selling yourself. During the discussion, speakers share tips and tricks, trials, success stories and more, adding a fun spin on traditional “networking lunches.”

The $25 ticket for the Lunch & Learn series includes a lunch prepared by the Harvest kitchen, with options like a deconstructed pesto chicken salad sandwich and vegetable quinoa, or a Harvest garden salad topped with steak, plus handmade desserts and more. In conjunction with the topic and in an effort to share user experiences, the restaurant is asking for guests to tag #LearnSomethingHM on social media.

Space is limited to 25 available spots. To reserve a seat, go to Homestead Manor website.
