Homestead Manor Holiday Market Back for a Fourth Year

Holiday Village

Homestead Manor is spreading the holiday cheer with its fourth annual Holiday Village on Saturday, Nov. 24. The fun-filled shopping event will feature local vendors, photos with Santa, family-friendly activities, food trucks and more. Event-goers are also encouraged to bring a toy to donate to nonprofit Operation Homefront at the door.

From 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., 37 vendors will fill a tented area on the Homestead lawn with unique, homemade goodies like custom jewelry and wood masterpieces, hand-poured candles, paintings and other artwork to leather goods, natural soaps, baked goods and jams, and more.

“As a local family-owned business ourselves, it is important to us to be able to offer this opportunity for the community to come together and spend time with family and friends, especially around the holidays,” Sally Mink, Marketing Director for A. Marshall Hospitality, said. “We feel privileged to put Holiday Village on each year and are excited for another great turnout and memorable event.”

The events barn on Homestead Manor’s ca. 1819 property will be transformed into Santa’s Workshop, where festival-goers can expect a variety of activities for kids and families, including ornament making, letters to Santa station and photos with Santa Claus. Ice cream, baked goods, coffee, and other drinks can be purchased from Hattie Jane’s Creamery and Great Escape Coffee inside the barn, and Express Train rides around the Homestead property are available for $2. Santa photos will be offered from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for $25 for the first photo and $5 for each additional.

Food trucks will be parked on-site to give attendees the opportunity to refuel from all the activities and holiday shopping, and a cash bar will be available. Bluegrass Kettle Masters of Nashville and Tennessee Cobbler Company will offer food and other treats for purchase, and dogs can even enjoy a special snack from 4 Paws Pastries.

Homestead Manor’s farm-to-fork, Southern-inspired restaurant located inside the antebellum home on the property will offer a limited menu the day of the event. Reservations can be made online at www.opentable.com or by phone at 615-538-6113.

Holiday Village is sponsored by Gray Line Tennessee, The Barre at Berry Farms, Gordon Food Service and the Williamson Source. All parking for Holiday Village, including handicapped, will be across from Homestead Manor at the Thompson Station Church. Gray Line Tennessee will provide shuttles to and from the parking lot to the event. Vehicles are not permitted on the Homestead Manor property on November 24. Pets are allowed outside and in the events barn on a leash, but not inside the house.

Tickets to attend the Holiday Village are $5 for adults and $1 for children ages 10 and under and can be purchased online at www.store.puckettsgro.com or at the door. Cash or credit card will be accepted. Veterans or active military will enjoy free admission with military I.D.
