Holiday Fashion Tips

Holiday Header

We are in the heart of the holiday season and that means holiday parties.  What to wear?  This is a time to sparkle and feel beautiful.  Steer clear of cardigans, large chunky sweaters and jeans for the most part.

Statement Necklace
A statement making necklace can dress up any outfit including a white button shirt.  If you are going to an evening event from work, just spice up your outfit with a necklace that brings attention to your face and puts everyone around you in the holiday mood.  Dress up black with a color – green or gold are beautiful compliments to black!Necklaces

Pop a fun shoe
If you plan on wearing your trusty LBD (Little Black Dress), dress it up with a colorful or attention grabbing heel.  Pop on a shoe that says holiday ready.  Sparkles, adornments and jewels are all encouraged.  Don’t be boring with your shoes!Shoes

If you want to wear black slacks
Try to find a straight leg pair rather than a wide cut…It is easily dressed up verses a big boot cut. If you feel comfortable in slacks, choose a ‘party’ top rather than wearing a regular sweater or button up blouse.  Look for something with a jewel, gold or leather accent or lace and sequins.  Dress UP your slacks – it’s a party after all.Black Slacks

Want to invest wisely in a black dress?
A ponte knit is the way to go…this dress is perfect for dressing up as seen here or worn with boots and an easy longer cardigan.  Ponte is comfortable, it wears well, allows you room to move around (and eat), and keeps its shape.

Don’t forget to pick up an evening clutch with some type of embellishment and sparkle and you’re ready for some fun.
