UPDATE 2/15/13:

Volunteers are needed and wanted at this commemorative event held at Homestead Manor. This is a living history re-enactment of the Civil War Battle that occurred on March 5th, 1863. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of history!

A cavalry show, canon fire, tours, dancing and more are scheduled on Saturday, March 9th. Visit them on Facebook for the latest information.

Make plans to attend the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Thompson’s Station on March 9th.

The Homestead Manor Plantation at 4683 Columbia Pike will come alive with historical re-enactors doing cavalry, artillery and infantry maneuvers. Living history exhibits including sutlers camp and Civil War hospital will also be set up.

The event is free to the public with donations welcomed. Historians will present and an evening dance to period music is scheduled on this historic property.
