Highway 96 At Natchez Trace Reopens

UPDATE: Highway 96 is back open.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office announced Thursday morning that Highway 96 at the Natchez Trace is closed. The closure went into effect around 8 a.m., and officials said the roadway will remain shut down until further notice.

Drivers are urged to seek alternate routes while the closure is in place.

  1. Why did they close hwy 96? That would be interesting to know. That is more important than the fact that it reopened.
